Achieving Wealth and Success: Prosperity is Within Your Grasp
Growing up everyone has a dream, whether it be a specific career, travel the world, or even how they would spend the rest of their lives. In order to do most of these things you would need to have a significant amount of wealth and that is often, unfortunately, what stops people from continuing after and attaining their dreams. I am here to tell you that you can attain goal or dream that you have or may have tucked away. But first lets see the main reason why a lot of people give up on their dream before even setting out to try to achieve it.
F.E.A.R (False Evidence that Appears Real)
So many people stop their journey towards wealth and success because they are afraid. Afraid of failure, their own abilities, or whatever self-conscious limitation they may put upon themselves. You remove these types of thoughts from your mind and even shout them down (both mentally and verbally) when they start to creep in.
Where Success Starts
Do you remember the first real goal or dream? What did it stem from? Most likely an idea you had or developed due to some circumstance or situation in your life. An Idea is the beginning of success. All it takes is one good idea to lead you on the track to wealth and prosperity, but with it go a few components.
What Drives You?
Behind every success story there is one common factor, one trait that keeps you going when things start to get tough and all seem hopeless and lost. That one trait is DESIRE! There is a reason why you want to attain a certain status or amount of money, whether it be to take care of your family or open up a business, there is always a drive behind it otherwise it would seem kind of futile to pursue it in the first place.
Desire at times may not be enough to get you to where you want to be you have to push it to the next level and make it a BURNING DESIRE. Get it in your head that this goal is a life or death situation and you must attain it, you cannot fail! Once you have this mindset you will not quit once you reach the first sign of turbulence, you will duck that head of yours and plow through those obstacles, refusing to quit. Remember at times situations will be tough and undesirable, but with any trial comes persistence, strength and opportunity for those who endure it. Which leads us to our next requirement.
When you wake up in the morning do you question the fact that your toothbrush will be in the same place that you left it that previous night? Not likely. You need to have that same faith and confidence that you will reach the goal that you have set for yourself. Go into this journey expecting that you will achieve it, even visualizing along the way that you are already in possession of that goal. See yourself holding the money, on the beach with your family or traveling to the place of your dreams. This is very important because it is a constant reminder of what you are striving for and, in your subconscious mind, it will help you to come up with the strategy and plans to achieve your goal.
Planning For Success
No one has ever achieved anything of great significance with out a plan. That would be like shooting a bow and arrow in the dark blind folded at a coin that someone had flicked in the air...boarder line impossible. Write down on a piece of paper, as descriptive as possible, what you want to achieve, when you want to achieve it and what you will give in order to receive it. As for what you will do to receive it, if you have an idea, Great, but if you do not don't sweat it. If you have the burning desire and the faith that you will be in possession of it, along with open-minded attitude, the idea will come to you.
Don't get discouraged when running up against opposition, no one does it right the first time and there is always a way around the obstacle that is standing in your way, often times leading to greater opportunity. So rather than getting frustrated and angry, take a step back, breath, and say to yourself, "Okay now what do we do to get around this". The ability to endure hardships is within all of us and it all depends on your attitude and mindset. Adapt to the challenges that come at you and find a way to use them to your advantage.
Once you have developed a plan and put it down on paper, put in a place that you will see it every day. Read this, out loud, twice a day; once in the morning and once before going to sleep. This is an exercise to drill it into your psyche that this is a goal that is important to you and you can not fail. For everything that a man can think of he can attain.
